Low-Energy Elastic Differential Scattering ofHe++by He

Abstract
The relative elastic differential scattering cross section for the He++ + He system has been measured for collision energies in the range 4E75 eV. The experimental results have been analyzed utilizing semiclassical techniques based on a two-state model to obtain information about the intermolecular potentials for the BΣu1 and EΣg1 states of He2++. These results are discussed in terms of existing ab initio calculations for these two states.
