Abstract
A molecular dynamics computation of S(q, w) has been performed on a linear chain of harmonically coupled double wells. For order-disorder systems, a broad central peak and a low frequency peak appears on top of the usual bottom of the well frequency of every q. For displacive systems an intense central peak distinct from the usual phonon peak appears at low q.Keywords
