Abstract
Voltage distribution phenomena in the thermal reignition region have been measured with a SF6 single- pressure gas circuit breaker of two-break type. Under test conditions below the limit of interruption ability, the voltage distribution was the same as that determined by the external capacitors. On the other hand, under test conditions in the vicinity of the limit of interruption ability, unbalanced voltage distribution phenomena due to the post arc current were observed. Keywords
