Possible effect of transfer reactions on heavy ion fusion at sub-barrier energies

Abstract
It is proposed that the transfer of two neutrons explains the relative enhancement in the subbarrier fusion cross section of + with respect to + . Similar relative enhancements in other cases of low energy heavy-ion fusion reactions are noted.
