Abstract
We report the use of remifentanil as part of a general anaesthetic technique for a patient with mixed mitral valve disease, asthma and pre‐eclampsia presenting for an emergency Caesarean section. The use of remifentanil was associated with stable haemodynamic variables during general anaesthesia. No clinically significant respiratory depression was noted in the neonate. Keywords
