Abstract
A new virus "Uganda S" was isolated from a mixed group of mosquitoes (Aedes longipalpis, A. ingrami, and A. natronius), but the exact source species is not known. It attacks man and monkeys, as shown by antibody reactions, but causes no recognizable symptoms. Laboratory expts. indicate a neurotropic tendency only in mice; but only an antibody reaction could be detected in other forms, including monkeys and humans. Nothing of the natural history of the virus is known other than its capacity to induce antibody formation. Keywords
