Abstract
A tuberculosis epidemic with serious consequences has been described. A major contributory factor appears to have been a lowered resistance to tubercle bacilli that resulted from recurring viral diseases. It is stressed that children constitute an important source of infection, as various family situations at Eskimo Point demonstrated. The alarming fact is that, despite regular annual roentogenographic surveys and other preventive measures, an epidemic of this proportion may still arise.
