Abstract
Palmar lesions in lupus erythematosus (LE) are a distinct rarity. A review of the literature and our hospital records of 769 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE) revealed only two with palmar involvement. The case histories of two additional patients with palmar lesions of LE are presented. Clinical and laboratory evidence suggested progression of their disease to SLE. The absence of hair follicles on volar skin does not preclude the development of otherwise classical clinical features of DLE.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
