Abstract
We have investigated all composite models basedon complex, anomaly-free, and asymptotically free representations of the gauge groups SU(3) to SU(8), , and , with not more than two different preons. We discuss in detail the role of Fermi statistics in the determination of the (meta)flavor representations of the composites. Under certain assumptions about the possible ground states, the solutions to 't Hooft's anomaly equations are presented for the complete flavor group and all non-Abelian subgroups, to which the flavor group can break. We find several models which satisfy anomaly matching when the flavor group is broken by the simplest condensate.
