Abstract
A review of studies on the microleakage retention, durability, and cariostatic efficacy of BIS-MGA resin fissure sealants suggests that newly-erupted permanent molars benefit least but the benefit for premolars is consistently high. Problems arising in the assessment of the sealants in clinical trials are discussed. Keywords
