Abstract
We present numerical results and theoretical arguments to support the model introduced by Stapleton–Helman to describe the fractal and fracton dimensionalities of a protein. We postulate that the model, which is a self-avoiding walk with massless bonds, may have limited applicability in satisfying the known bonding requirement of proteins but a folding model may have the desired characteristics. Keywords
