Abstract
The spin‐orbit matrices of the d5 configuration have been calculated in a strong‐cubic‐field scheme using the methods of Tanabe and Kamimura. The matrices were checked by comparing their eigenvalues with the spin‐orbit matrix elements in a j—j coupling scheme. Keywords
