Abstract
A practical liquid medium for the cultivation of T. cruzi in large volumes was obtained by placing a soln. of peptone, glucose, and NaCl in contact with a granulated coagulum of rabbit red blood cells. Directions are given for the prepn. of this coagulum. Other proteins, principally thrombin, were shown to have growth-promoting activity when used with ferric protoporphyrin. Growth was detd. by visible turbidity and dark-field examination. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
