Abstract
The complex formation of cyclodextrin (CyD) with fluoro-, chloro-, bromo-, and iodobenzene has been studied in aqueous medium at 25 °C. It was found that van der Waals force is the main factor to stabilize the complex. Formation constsnts for α and β-CyDs increase with the size of halogen atom, while those for γ-CyD are almost independent of the size. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
