Abstract
This paper presents a mathematical analysis of the fundamental circuit on which the operation of dielectric amplifiers depends. The analysis is based on the assumption that the effective hysteresis curve of the amplifier's dielectric material may be represented by a hyperbolic sine function. The case of resistive load is analyzed and expressions for the steady-state input and output currents are calculated. From a consideration of the transient response of the amplifier, an estimate of its time constant is obtained. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
