Abstract
McMurdo Sound is inhabited by a number of bioluminescent organisms not previously described as bioluminescent. A dinoflagellate, two ostracods, a copepod, fish fecal pellets probably illuminated by bacteria, four polychaetes, a brittle star, a euphausiid, and a sponge illuminated by dinoflagellates are described. The dinoflagellate luminescence appeared to have a seasonal but not a circadian rhythm. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
