Abstract
M. Molist excavated several trenches at Umm el Tlel-2, in the El Kowm oasis (Syria). The site yielded a stratigraphie sequence consisting of building levels and knapping areas of the late PPNB (Neolithic), an extensive Epipaleolithic occupation (Kebaran Geometric) and nine Upper Paleolithic layers (Levantine Aurignacian B). Owing to its stratified upper Paleolithic sequence with absolute dates, Umm el Tlel-2 will become a valuable reference site. Keywords
