Abstract
A case of staphylococcus septicemia with pulmonary, renal and hepatic involvement in a 14-year- old boy is reported. A cure was achieved with a combination of antibiotics, including 20,000,000 units of penicillin per day, in spite of the absence of in vitro sensitivity to this antibiotic. A prominent finding was the development of recurrent episodes of spontaneous pneumothorax. Keywords
