Abstract
Selected methods are presented for the extraction, identification and estimation of a wide variety of non-barbiturate hypnotics commonly encountered in specimens from comatose patients and from fatal cases. Emphasis is placed on chemical, chromatographic and spectrophotometric methods adaptable to laboratories with limited instrumentation.
