Abstract
The severity of uncomplicated mitral stenosis can be predicted by the difference between the delay of the mitral component of the 1st heart sound and the timing of the opening snap. The expression (Z + V)/2 = 231 [(Q-1)-(A2-OS)]+17.4 can be used to assess the degree of mitral stenosis. This publication has 17 references indexed in Scilit:
