Abstract
In an earlier contribution NIKLAS LUHMANN has given a new interpretation of the concept of „interpenetration“ - together with some statements on its use in the work of PARSONS. The following article provides some arguments from PARSONS to that point. Eventually the adequacy of the concept of interpenetration for a reflection on the relation between psychological and social systems is to be questioned.
