Abstract
Administration of 1-2-4 dinitrophenol can increase the O2 consumption of anesthetized dogs 10 times or more, resulting in a rise in body temp. There is no notable change in the proportion of nutrients serving as fuel. Marked increases in min. volume of circulating blood and in arterial-venous O2 difference occur. Respiratory rate and tidal air increase greatly. A pre-mortal acidosis is observed with fatal doses. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
