Characterization of Allergen Extracts by Dose-Response Studies and by Polyacrylamide Gel Isoelectrofocusing Using the Paper Disc Radioallergosorbent Test as the Assay Method

Abstract
Various commercial extracts of horse dandruff allergen were tested by the paper disc radioallergosorbent test and the dose-response relationships were established. The various allergen active components contained in the allergen extracts were also separated by isoelectrofocusing in polyacrylamide gel. The eluted fractions were then tested for their allergenic activity in order to establish their pI ranges, under the experimental conditions employed.
