Abstract
Lattice parameter and residual electrical resistivity were measured simultaneously for single crystalline platinum foils after irradiation with 3 MeV electrons at 4.5K. The defect specific ratio of both property changes was found. It remained constant through all recovery stages. The specific volume change due to a Frenkel pair was ( Delta nu / Omega FPt=1.6+or-0.1 and that due to an interstitial was ( Delta nu / Omega )1Pt=2.0+or-0.2.Keywords
