Abstract
By analyzing the experimental viscosity of the dissociating system N2O4⇌2NO2, the force constants of N2O4 and NO2 have been obtained for the Lennard‐Jones (12:6) potential. The calculations made with the force constants thus obtained suggest that, in agreement with theory, chemical reaction has no significant effect on the viscosity of a chemically reacting gas mixture. Keywords
