Abstract
A new formalism of the Kronig-Penney model has been developed which is considerably simpler than the conventional one. It gives not only the carrier energy bands but also the wave functions at the edges of each band. Although it is formulated to be applied to superlattices, it is also applicable to bulk materials. Keywords
