The Liquid Chromatography of Some Benzodiazepines

Abstract
The analytical scale liquid-solid chromatographic separation of some benzodiazepines at the µg level is described. A commercially available UV monitor is used for their detection in the column effluent. The results obtained for two of the compounds present in an ethyl acetate extract of dog urine are consistent with those obtained by thin layer chromatography and radioactive monitoring. The described method deserves attention for its potential in separation, identification and quantitative analysis in metabolite studies.
