Abstract
The more than 10 years concern for lead in the European Community from the environmental and workplace point fo view, have lead to the adoption of a number of Directives limiting human exposure to head. Furthermore a Directive on the ‘Biological screening of the population for lead’ was adopted in 1977 to obtain an overall assessment of the exposure to lead of the general population. The results of this assessment are presented.Keywords
