Abstract
Vortical-pattern visualization for the starting flow behind airfoils is extended from a chordwise or two-dimensional mode to a spanwise or three-dimensional mode. We demonstrate the capabilities and limits of the extended method by means of selected photographic frames and sequences.Keywords
