Report of a small epidemic of hypovitaminosis

Abstract
1. 1. A small epidemic believed to be due to a complex vitamin deficiency is described. 2. 2. The cause of disability and hospitalization was a haemorrhagic myositis of the lower limb. 3. 3. There were associated skin changes which are described. 4. 4. Bradycardia and exaggerated patellar reflexes were noted. 5. 5. Gums, which at first appeared noticeably healthy, proved on further investigation to bleed somewhat readily. 6. 6. A rather outstanding change in the diet of the patients 3 to 4 months previous to the onset of the disease is described.
