Abstract
Language sample analysis (LSA) has an important role in therapy planning decisions. Since computers have entered the field of speech therapy, they could possibly provide invaluable help in the long process of analysing spontaneous speech samples. The state-of-the-art in com puter technology with reference to LSA is outlined and descriptions of some existing analysis programs are given, followed by a practical example of the use of one computerized LSA in treatment planning for a specifically language impaired child. Keywords
