CHANNEL EXPANSION THEORY: A DYNAMIC VIEW OF MEDIAL AND INFORMATION RICHNESS PERCEPTIONS.

Abstract
This paper presents a model of media and information richness perceptions describing the effect of three experiental moderators. As participants overcome the limiting effects of these moderators they will be able to encode messages which are more meaningful to experienced co-participants, thereby expanding the bandwidth of the channel-in-use.
