Abstract
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the National Cancer Institute convened a workshop on March 21-23, 1978, to review and analyze information accumulated from clinical trials of exogenous interferon in the treatment of human infectious and metastatic diseases. A summary of the clinical trials with accompanying references is presented. This report summarizes these deliberations and includes accounts of the workshop sessions. The areas reviewed in the workshop sessions include purification and production of interferons, herpesvirus infections, hepatitis B virus infections, respiratory virus infections and metastatic diseases. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
