Abstract
In a Ti–30V–1Si alloy, the ω phase precipitates on dislocations. A model of dislocation dissociation at the β-ω interfaces is proposed to explain the observed microstructures and the relationship between the Burgers vector and the c axis of the ω family precipitating on a dislocation. This model involves the formation of a three-layer stacking fault b/6, 2b/3, b/6 in (112) planes. Keywords
