Abstract
In castrated male and female mice treatment with testosterone propionate caused a significant increase of kidney D-amino acid oxidase activity within a few days of treatment. In castrated male rats similar treatment caused an increase in the activity of this enzyme in the liver, but no change was observed in the kidney. This effect was not secondary to an increased food consumption.Keywords
