Abstract
The selection of adjustable-frequency motor drive inrters requires a recognition not only of motor shaft loading but of motor characteristics, of solid-state harmonic waveforms, and of inverter capabilities. The process of selection is further complicated by a lack of industry standard ratings. The functional details of specifying, selecting, and comparing are discussed. Keywords
