Abstract
The enzymatic reduction of dehydro-L-ascorbic acid in E. coli at the physiological pH range with the assay condition without loss of resulting ascorbic acid was reported. The enzyme, dehydroascorbic acid reductase was partially purified and some properties observed. Hydrogen donors, H acceptorsand cofactor requirement were studied. Keywords
