Abstract
The point-matching method for the numerical solution of the magnetostatic scalar-potential boundary-integral equation in three dimensions has been found to suffer from limited accuracy and heavy computational costs. Experiments with the Galerkin weighted-residual scheme show significant improvements in accuracy for a given amount of computation. The formulation is restricted to the situation where currents are excluded from magnetized regions; the latter are restricted to constant permeability in this report. Keywords
