Abstract
In this review the authors have touched upon the following topics: the effects of inanition on growth and development; avoidance of inanition through choice of an adequate rather than an inadequate diet; perversions of appetite; effects of inanition on spontaneous activity; reduction of drive through acute inanition; changes in behavior associated with thereproduetivefunctionsresulting from inanition; and effects of inanition on learning. For the most part the article reflects the interest of the student of animal behavior, rather than that of the morphologist or physiologist. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
