Abstract
The photodissociation of OSCl2 at the Kr (1165‐, 1236‐Å) lines has resulted in the production of SO A 3π, B 3Σ. The threshold energy of incident photons to produce the reaction, was eV from which is derived. The If/I0‐vs‐incident wavelength curve shows many diffuse bands found in the absorption spectrum of OSCl2 indicating that the process is predissociative. Various other methods to obtain are compared. It is concluded that the best value is .
