Self Focusing of Surface Acoustic Waves

Abstract

Theoretical and experimental results are reported for self focuning of surface acoustic waves in LiNbO₃. The scalar wave equation that includes the third order nonlinear term could be solved numerically. The correspondence between theory and experiments was obtained.
