Abstract
In a random selection of patients with different degrees of gingival inflammation the ascorbic acid levels in the blood were within normal range. Elevating normal ascorbic acid blood levels by daily dietary supplements of 250 mg of ascorbic acid did not significantly affect the ascorbic acid levels in treated and non-treated gingiva. Keywords
