Abstract
From an analysis of children's remarks made during and after therapy it is concluded that the therapeutic experiences for these children were emotional experiences that sharpened their awareness of themselves as "feeling" individuals. Through these "feeling" experiences they gained an understanding of themselves and of their emotional natures--with this understanding came a control over their emotions and feelings. "We might say that these children had achieved adjustment by achieving a synthesis in self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-actualization."
