Abstract
Aortopulmonary anastomoses were created in 36 piglets to determine whether an encircling ring of heavy silk would limit excessive growth. When an unbanded anastomosis remained patent, it grew to a large size. When the anastomosis was banded by an encircling ring of heavy silk, growth was controlled in all but one pig. Keywords
