Abstract
Field experiments were conducted in Saskatchewan using chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) to evaluate fall-applied granular rhizobial inoculant. Seed yield and percentage N derived from fixation generally did not differ between granular inoculant applied in the fall (FG) and seed applied peat-based powder (SP). Results suggest that FG applications may be an alternative to spring seed inoculation for chickpea. Key words: Chickpea, rhizobial inoculant, granular inoculant, nodulation, N2 fixationKeywords
