Abstract
Auto-oxidation of the antipsoriatic drug anthralin (1,8-dihydroxy-9-anthrone) in dimethyl sulphoxide has been shown by spin trapping with 5,5-dimethyl-1-pyrroline-1-oxide (DMPO) to lead to the formation of superoxide. The auto-oxidation of several analogues of anthralin also results in the formation of superoxide.Keywords
