Abstract
Psychometric study of mood state was performed before and after cardiac pacing in 13 patients with heart block. There was no change in Depression-Dejection, Anger-Hostility, Vigor, or fatigue. Tension-Anxiety tended to show some reduction but the significance level was marginal. On the other hand, statistically significant reduction in both friendliness and confusion was noted after the establishment of pacing. Keywords
