Abstract
This paper describes a new method of making transmission loss formulas. A résumé of developments since 1942 is included. The new method is very simple, but for large systems it requires a large number of highly accurate power flow studies made on a digital computer. Tests of the method for different sizes and types of power systems are suggested for trial by those who may have access to large-scale computers at a cost low enough to justify research work. Keywords
