Abstract
The importance of differentiating pseudocryptorchism from true cryptorchism has been recognized for years, yet specific aids in diagnosis have been few. We have been increasingly impressed with a simple method for demonstrating pseudocryptorchism, which thus far has not caught the attention of many pediatricians. This maneuver was originally described by Dr. Louis Orr in a letter to the Urologists Correspondence Club in 1951. It is performed by having the boy sit in a straight-backed chair and draw up his legs so that the soles of his feet rest on the chair seat.
