Abstract
The function of hearing has been studied in two patients with Cogan syndrome, employing a battery of audiological tests, including relative and absolute impedance measurements. The results indicate that the hearing loss is mainly of cochlear origin. In addition, the findings indicate that there is a mechanical component caused by middle-ear abnormality similar to what is found in early stages of otosclerosis. Keywords
